In a recent post on LexisNexis’ Business of Law blog, Frank Strong interviews Stacey Romberg via Google+ Hangout about the virtues of going virtual. After 10 years in the legal industry, Romberg set up her own practice and opened a business law and estate planning and probate law office. She employs two other attorneys, a paralegal and an office manager and tells Strong what it’s like to work at home in her running tights.
First, Romberg makes the case for going virtual as a moral solution to the problem of climate change. “I truly believe that lawyers should be part of the solution to the problem, rather than part of the problem,” she tells Strong. Not driving to the office and avoiding paper make her practice a lot more environmentally sound. Besides doing her part to save planet Earth, Romberg says her savings on office space and the increased time she has by not commuting are big benefits.
