Debate around artificial intelligence’s (AI) displacement of professionals isn’t new, but hard dates for the transition from man to machine aren’t often pinned down.

Among jobs that may be fulfilled by robots come 2025 is that of lawyerly duties, a possibility catalyzed by the increasingly-popular application of machine learning in legal tech solutions. An example reported in Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) is ROSS, which employs IBM supercomputer Watson to sift through “mountains of case files.” According to IBM, in 15 seconds Watson is able to read up to 40 million documents, which IBD says is capable of “replacing some entry-level attorneys.”
