A July report issued by global advisory and technology research group Technavio reported that the global market for cloud-based information governance (IG) solutions is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27 percent from 2016 through 2020. The factors driving this market growth are requirements to comply with international regulation; advantages posed by cloud computing; and the ease with which information governance policies can be dispersed via cloud solutions, Technavio said in a statement.
