The end of a case doesn’t mean that the data on which it was built is ‘dead and buried.’ This was the message at “The Living Dead of E-Discovery,” a session at the 2016 ACEDS 2016 E-Discovery conference that offered listeners horror stories from law firms failing to delete data and practical tips to enhance their information governance practices.

Getting straight to business was Alex Ponce de Leon, discovery counsel at Google, who simply asked, “Why does it matter? Why is it a big deal to get a hold and sort of wrap our arms around all of the dead e-discovery that’s out there?”
