Corporate legal has an ominous problem and a great opportunity on its hands: It’s the cloud.

Why? The cloud is driving massive data growth due to the seductively low storage and computing costs, which have dropped precipitously as cloud providers engage in a furious race to zero. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has led this charge, dropping its price 44 times from 2008 to 2014. Competitors Microsoft and Google have in turn dropped their own prices to compete.
