These days, more and more U.S. businesses are heeding some famous advice— if you want something done, do it yourself. Just don’t tell your IT Department.
The use of shadow IT applications – ones not officially known or sanctioned by a company’s technology department —is reaching new heights with the help of “plug and play” app services, according to Canvas’ 3rd annual “Mobile Business Application Survey” of business and IT decision makers. The survey talked to just under 400 companies, 41 percent of whom were small businesses and firms with less than 25 employees.
