It’s no secret that IT services are increasingly being transferred to the cloud. But what’s holding organizations back from moving all services to the cloud, rather than only a few at a time? According to one survey, questions over security still rule.

In a survey from cloud security provider CloudPassage, titled “Cloud Security Concerns and the Perceived Effectiveness of Traditional Security Solutions in a Cloud Environment,” 58 percent of the 100 surveyed data security professionals said that they expect their IT services to be increasingly deployed in the cloud over the next 18 months. The largest growth is expected to be in public clouds—12 percent employ public clouds for IT today, while 20 percent expect to do so within the next 18 months.
