Israeli-based cybersecurity company Aorato posted a blog entry on July 15 promulgating information about a security flaw with Microsoft Corp.’s directory service, Active Directory.

The post, written by Tal Be’ery, vice president of research at Aorato, highlights an Active Directory flaw that allows hackers to change passwords and infiltrate services, such as Remote Desktop Protocol and Outlook Web Access. The blog notes that nearly all (95 percent) of Fortune 1000 companies use Active Directory.
