Crowell & Moring tapped its first chief innovation and value officer, who will join its five-person chief executive team, a move that puts the firm in line with its peers who have created similar C-suite positions in recent years as the legal industry continues to seek innovative ways to do business.

Alma Asay, who has served as the firm’s senior practice innovation and client value director since June 2021, will hold the new role and lead the firm’s efforts to innovate the services and value that the firm delivers to its clients in conjunction with lawyers and professional staff.
