We in the legal industry often think of burnout as a dirty word. When we raise concerns regarding workloads or work-life balance, we sometimes receive a compassionate response, but it is often coupled with the reality of a pending due date.

Burnout in legal professionals, more prominently in e-discovery and technology-focused practices where deadlines are fluid and budget-driven, has been on the rise for the past 18 months. Research from Bloomberg suggests more than half of responding attorneys are experiencing burnout, a benchmark passed for the first time in over two years.
