A federal judge has ruled that a website operator is not liable for taking down a New Jersey litigant’s online posting that criticized a judge.

The suit failed to demonstrate that IPD Group Inc., which runs a website called EIN Presswire, was liable as a state actor for its 2021 retraction of a post critical of Thomas Miller, who was then the assignment judge for Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren counties, Chief U.S. Judge Freda Wolfson ruled when she dismissed IPD Group from the case.
