For the foreseeable future, expect to see more data security incident class actions filed in the same jurisdiction rather than multiple ones, and more unwillingness from plaintiffs’ attorneys to cooperate in efforts to consolidate these actions, according to a recent report by law firm BakerHostetler.

Released today, the firm’s 2022 Data Security Incident Response report tracked over 55 class actions relating to 22 data security incidents, most of which stemmed from the health care organizations, over the past year.
