After securing approval from the Arizona Supreme Court to merge alternative legal service provider (ALSP) Elevate and law firm ElevateNext, Elevate CEO and chairman Liam Brown said he’s won over ALSP-apprehensive clients with Arizona’s stamp of approval. Now, he’s weighing additional opportunities to spur further growth. 

Last week, Elevate became the first nonlawyer owned legal services provider to secure an “alternative business structure” approval in Arizona after the state eliminated American Bar Association Rule 5.4 in 2020, which barred nonlawyer ownership of law firms.
