No one can accuse Onit of being tight with a dollar. On Tuesday, the workflow automation provider announced that it had struck a deal to acquire German legal spend and matter management software vendor BusyLamp for an undisclosed amount. The news marks the fourth acquisition that Onit has made in less than 12 months.
But the BusyLamp deal was a long time in the making. “I took a run at buying them [two years ago] and they rebuffed me,” said Eric Elfman, founder and CEO of Onit.
