LitLingo, an artificial intelligence-based platform that analyzes digital communications for risk management and information governance purposes, announced Wednesday that it closed on a $7.5 million series A funding round led by Breyer Capital and former IBM CEO Sam Palmisano. Also participating in the round was existing investor LiveOak Venture Partners, among others.

In a press release announcing the news, LitLingo noted it plans to “use the capital to double the company headcount over the next twelve months” both in its Austin, Texas, headquarters and remotely. The company said it will specifically invest in positions such as sales, marketing and engineering, as well as improve its product through expanding its library of AI models and the platform’s interoperability.
