As more corporate legal departments and law firms adopt workflow automation tools, there’s bound to be some first-time buyers who aren’t happy with their purchases. But so far, industry observers noted that while some have unmet expectations, few are left with buyer’s remorse.

Based on the “2021 MarketView Report for Enterprise Legal Management: E-Billing and Matter Management Systems” released by Hyperion Global Partners, workflow automation is becoming a must-have in legal organizations. Out of the 249 U.S. and multinational corporate legal departments and law firms surveyed, 51% said they plan to invest in workflow and process automation in the next two years, with 39% “heavily” investing in automation and workflow tools.
