More law firms are automating client intake tasks and administrative work. But as some staffers eye the growth of automation as a potential job threat, Georgia-based law firm Kenneth S. Nugent saw an additional revenue stream. The personal injury firm is partnering with artificial intelligence-powered technology company Amelia to sell and implement automation software to fellow law firms.

Amelia said the partnership is to help law firms implement automation into their processes as client demands for higher-quality 24-7 availability grow louder and law firms become more receptive toward automation. While Amelia has launched automated services in previous industries, partnering with a law firm provides operational insights and a trustworthy hand to guide other firms.
