Strict new anti-COVID measures passed by German lawmakers this month are leading several major law firms to maintain and make permanent flexible working measures, according to senior local lawyers.
The new rules, which have been introduced by the German Bundestag as the country faces a third wave of the coronavirus, obligate employers to send employees home unless there are “compelling operational reasons,” while those who remain in office must be provided with self-testing kits at least once a week.
