In order to get a clear picture of litigation outcomes, in-house counsel and their firms need to have a wide variety of data on hand—but they also should make sure the data they use is clean and complete, according to panelists at a LegalWeek discussion Tuesday.

In the panel, called “Transforming Data into Business Intelligence: Leveraging BI to Make Better Data-Driven Legal and Business Decisions,” in-house attorneys and a data expert discussed the benefits of bringing several data sources to the litigation process early on.
