Ensuring the security of data during document review has always been a top concern for law firms and vendors alike—and with the widespread move to a remote workforce, that hasn’t changed. But it has now demanded a new approach, according to speakers at the “WFH Cybersecurity Risk Management from a Legal, Business and IT perspective” session of the virtual Legalweek(year) 2021 conference.
With most document reviewers working remotely, security demands have been brought to the forefront. “It’s really that elevation of awareness that probably has been the most interesting thing” to come out of the pandemic, said John Wilson, chief information security officer at e-discovery provider HaystackID.
