Miss the action at today’s virtual Legalweek(year) New York sessions? Here’s what Legaltech News’s editors and reporters view as today’s highlights from their coverage and conversations.
Rhys Dipshan: I’ve been more skeptical than others that remote work will be more prevalent in the legal industry post-pandemic. But after the first day of Legalweek(year) 2021, especially the “WFH Cybersecurity Risk Management from a Legal, Business and IT perspective” session, much of my doubt has receded. Remote work won’t outlast the pandemic just because of its financial benefits or the need for work/life balance. And it won’t continue just because the right IT infrastructure is in place. It’ll live on in large part because law firms have done the difficult work of figuring out how to support remote workflows from a security, information governance, and discovery standpoint.
