Jobs are becoming harder to come by in the legal industry, but alternative legal service providers (ALSPs) are definitely hiring. And despite what recent hires may suggest, a background in contract technology is not required for most.

“ALSPs are going strong and they are strengthening their positioning in the marketplace and investing in technology,” said Mark Yacano, managing director of Major, Lindsey & Africa’s transform advisory services where he advises corporate clients on adopting a wide array of technologies. ALSPs are also adding more personnel, including “all sorts of folks, coders, designers, solution designers, system architects, higher-level lawyers to have on their bench,” Yacano noted.
