Corporate legal departments could be holding onto more work that may have once been passed along to law firms, according to Exterro’s 2019 In-House Legal Benchmarking Report.

The report, published Wednesday, was done in conjunction with the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) and In The House, a private support network for in-house counsel. Responses were collected from 180 in-house legal professionals, with the results indicating that last year’s insourcing trend isn’t headed for a reversal any time soon.
