When Michael Donahue joined Boston-based LogMeIn in 2007, it was a private company with no other in-house lawyers.

Now, the company’s senior vice president and general counsel leads a legal team that spans continents. He helped guide the company, which creates software that allows IT teams and other administrators to access remote devices, through its 2009 initial public offering and its 2017 merger with Citrix’s GetGo subsidiary. Those moves helped LogMeIn grow from a $30 million valuation to more than $1 billion.
