The 200 highest-earning law firms in the world in 2017 hail from four different continents and brought in collective revenues of more than $135.6bn in 2017. But the newly expanded global rankings highlight a massive revenue gap between the Global 100 and the Global Second Hundred.

Within the Global 200’s collective total revenue, $30bn came from the Second Hundred, which includes 15 UK-based firms. By comparison, the 100 top-grossing firms in the world generated more than three times as much in 2017, surpassing $100bn in combined revenue for the first time to reach $105.7bn.
