BigHand took this award, with the judging panel describing it as being “obviously ahead of the game”.

The company works with clients to identify key challenges facing the legal sector and build software to address these challenges. One of its latest products, and the one which the award submission focused on, is task delegation tool BigHand Now.

The product is designed to enable law firms to capture, assign and track tasks digitally, with real-time updates so progress can be easily monitored.

The concept was originally devised by BigHand’s products team, which worked with the UK research and development arm over a period of six months to develop the platform. It was officially launched in October 2015 to more than 350 clients at BigHand’s user conference in London, and is now used at more than 50 client sites around the world.
