Eversheds has taken on Clare Hughes, head of TLT’s financial services regulation team as a partner in its London office. Hughes, a trained barrister who previously worked as a specialist consumer lawyer at the Office of Fair Trading, will work across the consumer credit and regulatory space at Eversheds as the firm looks to build its financial services regulation practice after setting up a new consulting service in February.

Tom Goldsmith will also join the firm as a real estate partner after ten years at Nabarro. Goldsmith’s hire comes after the arrival of Clare Whitaker in January from Clyde & Co.
