Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has been instructed by HSBC to send warning letters to the Guardian in response to its inquiries into allegations that the bank’s Swiss arm helped people evade tax.
HSBC has been embroiled in a tax-dodging scandal after reports last week said leaked documents from the bank showed that its Swiss subsidiary may have helped people evade paying taxes in the UK and elsewhere.
