US pair in talks to create $1.4bn law firm
US firms Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman have begun merger talks. A combination would create a firm with joint revenues of around $1.4bn staffed by over 1,500 lawyers, with a particularly strong presence on the US west coast.
