Many investors have recently broadened the scope of the investments they make, for example, as part of a diversification of their investment strategy or to seek higher returns. Sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) are no exception to this and so-called alternative investments, including private equity, have seen increased interest from SWFs in recent years.
