Uria partner joins Santander as part of in-house reshuffle
Banco Santander has hired a corporate finance partner from Spanish law firm Uria Menendez to take up a new role heading the bank's business legal affairs division. Madrid-based Javier Illescas, who joined Uria in 1999 and made partner in 2010 after stints in the firm's offices in Buenos Aires and Madrid, will take up the new post at the Spanish bank.
