A trio of US firms are advising on a $1bn (£644m) private equity deal that has seen UK-based private equity house Apax Partners team up with US tech investor JMI Equity to acquire software group Paradigm, reports The Am Law Daily.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom is advising Paradigm on the transaction, while Kirkland & Ellis is serving as outside counsel to Apax.
