Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Allen & Overy (A&O) have secured lead roles on United Parcel Service’s (UPS’s) €5.2bn (£4.3bn) bid for Dutch shipping company TNT Express, writes The Am Law Daily.

The agreed deal looks set to qualify as the largest acquisition in UPS’s 105-year history, greatly expanding the Atlanta-based logistics giant’s market share in Europe and providing inroads into China. If approved, the merger will create a logistics company with combined global revenues of around $60bn (£38bn).
