Ropes & Gray has become the latest firm to announce its intention to open in South Korea, with the firm set to file documentation with the Korean Ministry of Justice today (6 March) – the first day on which US firms are able to do so.

The firm plans to open in Seoul as soon as its licence is approved, with New York-based Korea practice chair William Yongkyun Kim, as well as intellectual property (IP) litigator David Chun relocating there to lead the practice.
