Bredin Prat, Linklaters and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer have scored roles on the high profile tie-up between General Motors (GM) and PSA Peugeot Citroen, which is expected to save the car giants around $2bn (£1.25bn) a year within five years.

French leader Bredin Prat is serving as primary adviser to PSA on both the alliance and an associated €1bn capital increase by PSA, fielding a team of six partners led by corporate partners Benjamin Kanovitch and Olivier Saba. The team also includes employment partner Pascale Lagesse and tax partners Yves Rutschmann and Sebastien de Mones.
