Why did you become a lawyer? After a degree in banking and international finance, I started off as a junior equity salesman during the big bang and wanted to progress to M&A or corporate finance. My bosses at Kleinwort Grieveson, as it then was, advised me to qualify in law or accountancy. I investigated both and thought law suited me better.
