Prenuptial agreements, or prenups, have been in the news a great deal recently. The high-profile case of Radmacher v Granatino, in which a wealthy German heiress sought through the UK courts to uphold a prenup against her less wealthy French husband, and did so successfully in the Supreme Court last year, took the concept of an enforceable marital agreement as far as it could go in the UK without legislation.
