DLA Piper is set to gain a presence in Brazil with an alliance with local firm Campos Mello Pontes Vinci & Schiller. Campos Mello will remain an independent firm, but will work closely with DLA Piper, advising international companies on business in Brazil, as well as domestic companies looking to expand or do business in the country. DLA will set up its own office when the firm receives approval from the Brazilian authorities.
