UBS's head of legal has quit the Swiss banking giant to join a Zurich firm founded by a former banker, reports The Am Law Daily. Bernhard Schmid has joined Kuoni Attorneys at Law as a partner and will help the firm increase its work advising banks. Founding partner Wolfram Kuoni is a former investment banker who left UBS in 2005 to start the firm, which now has three partners and three associates.
