Clifford Chance's (CC) US practice has lost its fifth partner this month, with the news that New York-based corporate partner David Bernstein has joined K&L Gates. The veteran corporate partner had no management responsibilities at the magic circle firm, but was previously the chairman of legacy firm Rogers & Wells' M&A group and head of its corporate department for almost a decade before it merged with CC in 2000.Bernstein advises on M&A, joint ventures, securities and corporate governance in the financial, automotive, private equity and property sectors.
