Hammonds has appointed its first-ever London management committee and selected a group of City partners to take up international liaison roles, as part of a bid to increase cross-selling within the firm.

New London head Robert Weekes has appointed seven partners to the new London body, which he will also lead, with effect from the beginning of this month. The partners, who include former office heads Paul Groobey and Robert Wegenek, will meet monthly to discuss clients, ideas and cross-selling progress within each department. They will also speak at a series of new monthly fee earner forums set up to build relationships with associates from different practice areas.
