Meanwhile, Holman Fenwick Willan and Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) have also announced their partner promotions for 2009.
Holman Fenwick has made up two new partners, with one in Melbourne and one in London.
Martime consultant Hazel Brasington and competition lawyer Anthony Woolich have both been promoted as of today (1 May), bringing the firm’s total partnership to 114.
Holman Fenwick recently confirmed its conversion to limited liability partnership (LLP) status, with the firm’s Paris, Rouen, Brussels, Dubai, Piraeus, Singapore, Shanghai and London offices all coming under the LLP, while Hong Kong and Melbourne will remain as separate partnerships.
Elsewhere, RPC has made up three new partners, with David Cran (intellectual property) and Stephen Malley and Alan Stone (both construction) joining the firm’s full equity partnership.
RPC managing partner Jonathan Watmough said: “When you have got a genuine full equity partnership like ours, the bar is obviously that much higher, and so we are absolutely delighted that David, Stephen and Alan have made it. These appointments demonstrate both the breadth of our practice and the quality of talent coming up through the firm.”
The promotions take effect as of today (1 May) and bring RPC’s total partner numbers to 66.Click here for a full round-up of this year’s partner promotions so far.
