Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has boosted its London office with the hire of a heavyweight litigation partner from DLA Piper. Julian Stait, who has been a partner with DLA since 1996 and has served as head of both its technology, media & communications practice (2000-05) and global co-head of its litigation and arbitration practice (2005-07), joins Milbank as a partner in the US firm's litigation team. Stait, who will work closely with Milbank's head of intellectual property litigation David Perkins, has broad experience of business and regulatory disputes, with a particular focus on the communications, technology and outsourcing (CTO) sector, as well as finance.
