Withers is set to launch an office in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), gifting the top 50 firm its first offshore legal presence. The office, which will open on 1 May, will see litigation partner Jeremy Scott and corporate partner John Greenwood relocate from London to lead the new venture. Greenwood advises on all aspects of offshore financings and structures and has previously worked as a lawyer and asset manager in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, the BVI and Anguilla. The BVI base will provide a range of cross-border services covering corporate and trust disputes; insolvency and restructuring; funds; and banking and finance.
