Allen & Overy (A&O) has rehired former Dubai corporate head Pervez Akhtar after a six-month spell as a private equity investor. The highly-regarded Akhtar rejoined the magic circle firm as a partner at the beginning of this month and has been given special responsibility for "strategic high-level relationships" in the Middle East region.He left A&O in September last year for Dubai-based investment firm Abraaj Capital, where he was an executive director.
