Clifford Chance (CC) has sublet three-and-a-half floors of its London headquarters to KPMG. Under the agreement, KPMG will relocate 1,000 members of staff to 10 Upper Bank Street, where the accountancy giant has taken on 93,000 sq ft of office space on the sixteenth to nineteenth floors.CC has not confirmed the exact financial details of the sublet, but it is thought that the magic circle firm will benefit significantly from the deal. CC moved into the 700,000 sq ft building nine years ago when it left its City base in Aldersgate and became the first UK-based law firm to take up residence in Canary Wharf.
