Nearly 10 years ago, at a seminar for trial lawyers, David Boies and Theodore Wells Jr gave mock opening statements in a theoretical accounting case. To date, it is the only time the much-lauded advocates have tested their trial skills against each other. It is as if Ali and Frazier sparred in a gym, but never fought in Madison Square Garden.
