National firm Hammonds has confirmed that 77 members of staff have lost their jobs as a result of its redundancy consultation.
Fifty-three support staff and 24 fee earners have been laid off following the consultation, which launched in November. The number is lower than the 95 jobs initially under review, when up to 42 fee earners faced the axe. Many of the lawyers involved in the consultation were redeployed elsewhere in the business.
