Linklaters is set to defend itself in the High Court next week against a $55m (£37m) negligence claim. The magic circle firm is due in court for a five-week trial starting next week (26 January) over claims it gave negligent advice to Baltic telecoms company Levicom.The case will be heard in the commercial court at the Royal Courts of Justice before Mr Justice Andrew Smith, with the hearing understood to follow unsuccessful mediation before Christmas.
