Davenport Lyons has expanded its corporate tax team with the hire of Howard Kennedy tax head Roger Bindschedler. Bindschedler officially joined the West End firm last month, taking the number of corporate tax partners at the firm to three.Davenport Lyons head of corporate Michael Hatchwell said: "The reasoning behind the hire is that we needed to continue to enhance ourcorporate tax practice."He continued: "There is a need for a standalone legal tax team among West End firms as accountancy firms have stolen a march on us in that respect. There is room for lawyers to grow in strength in this area."
